Calahonda
Calahonda is located close to several golf courses and has the typically sun-drenched beaches for which the Mediterranean is famous, and we dream about while we are on the plane traveling to our chosen holiday destination, an ideal destination for families, golfers and groups, with many activates on offer such as, tennis, horse riding and other sporting activates including a gymnasium are available for the more active holiday maker, while the sun soaked beaches, a verity of restaurants and evening entertainment offer relaxation for the more sedate sun-seeker. Royal Beach is probably the best known beach in Calahonda and it has its own bar restaurant which offers lunches, snacks and evening meals, Puerta del Mar is located on this stretch of beach and is only a short walk from the beach bar.
The strip is also quiet famous and has a selection of bars and restaurants all down one side of the main road, which is probably were it got its nickname from, if you find you are missing Fish and Chips a Friday night curry and a Guinness then strip is a great place and is very popular with groups for its entertainment, and families due to its friendly trouble free atmosphere.
You will find a verity of supermarkets with both local produce and freshly caught fish, most now offer a varied selection of imported foreign foods, so you should be able to get your favorite snacks and drinks for the kids, many of the local bars offer cooked breakfasts, childrens menus and evening meals, Calahonda still offers good value for money, with menu of the day which is normally a three course meal with a glass of wine or beer included.
Puerto Cabopino which has the reputation for being the most secluded and picturesque ports on the Costa, and is a popular venue for tourist who wants to enjoy a good meal, a look at some amazing boats which are regularly moored there, some on a permanent basis, before taking a walk on the beach or spending the evening dancing the night away in Marbella or Puerta Banus.
