Self Catering Holidays

Although the idea of being pampered in a hotel is appealing to some people, it can turn out to be an expensive way to take a holiday especially if you have a larger or older family where teenagers are with you. While most hotels or package deals book per person, our self catering apartments are booked per week, regardless of the number of occupants (provided that the number of occupants does not exceed the maximum shown for the apartment) so a package holiday for four booking at £500 per person, per week, could cost a massive £ 2000 per week, whereas a self catering apartment would cost just £500 per week for the whole family of four or group of adult friends, so you can save a massive amount of money. If flights are booked online then there are some great bargains to be found whatever time of year, if you take some time to look around, obviously the earlier you book your flights the cheaper they tend to be, and flights of £70 per person return are not unheard of, that makes self catering a very good deal.  Don''t forget that package deals mean packaged meal times, and friends at the table quite often, that is if you manage to get downstairs in time for breakfast, which you probably will not, after all, you are on holiday. This leaves the sticky problem of who tells the kids that they only have two hours down at the beach now, after all you have missed breakfast and you don''t want to miss lunch as well, you did pay for it. All you have to remember now is not to fall asleep in the deck cCost del Sol Maphair and be late for tea.

Freedom, that''s what a self catering Holiday means, the freedom to come and go as you please when and how you please. The freedom to choose.

Standards in self catering accommodation have increased dramatically over the past few years as there is more and more competition, and owners have bought newer, better properties and furnished them accordingly, while prices have remained stable over the same period and in some cases have actually gone down. Value for money is the phrase on everybody''s lips, and everybody wants a little more, for a little less, so D.V.D. players, air conditioning, and satellite T.V. are becoming the norm, while private pools and gardens are what the people who are sharing the price of a private villa are looking for, security and peace of mind for the adults and the kids. Jetsetter Holidays now has available a selection of private villas with heated pools in Nueva Andalucía, and exclusive penthouse apartments in the exclusive Marina in Puerto Banus. For one family holidays we have luxury beach side apartments in Calahonda, Alicate Playa and Elviria which are cost effective, comfortable and excellent value for money. In most cases these properties are grouped quite close together, or are in the same complex, so if you do want to go on holiday with friends, but don''t want to share the same house, you can often book side by side apartments, but these should be booked early or one family may be disappointed.

If you have young finicky eaters you can make them the stuff they like, from the local shops, most of which supply a good variety of the things you find at home, or you can branch out and cook something more local and maybe a bit more exotic because you can buy the ingredients. Alternatively with the money you have saved you can just eat out every night. One of the great benefits of a self catering holiday is that you get the opportunity to sample local produce, and to eat out in a greater variety of local restaurants, you can try some of the local dishes, and tapas are a good way of introducing yourself to the culinary delights of Spain, as you only get a small portion this way so if you do not like the dish you won''t have to pay for a main course. Menu of the day is a very popular way of eating out in Spain, normally there are three courses and a drink included, and prices start from around 10 Euro per head, depending on the type of meal and the location. Don''t forget to take Mum to the market for the bargains and the kids to the Aqua park or other theme parks in the area, but don''t worry, this is self catering, you won''t miss tea.

Jetsetter Holidays offers a great selection of accommodation for all budgets and tastes, we can provide taxis to and from the airport for you, pre booked and waiting to pick you up, food packs, beach towels, cot and high chair hire and not to forget friendly service and customer support.
